Right of Use and Acceptance of the Terms

Your use of the platform entails your acceptance of the Terms. Anyone over the age of 13 may create an account themselves. Children below this age may use the platform only under a parent's or guardian's account. When separate children's accounts become available, they will require explicit parental consent (in accordance with COPPA).

The Nature of the Platform

«حصين» — «The International Iftaa Reference» — is a knowledge platform built upon the published heritage of Dar Al-Iftaa Al-Misriyyah. All content passes through the scholarly review line before appearing with the label «Approved», and content appearing without this badge is marked «Awaiting Review».

Artificial intelligence models generate the answers in the search and fatwa panels from the indexed reference corpus. We always cite the sources so that you can verify them.

The Platform Does Not Issue Fatwas

This platform does not issue fatwas; it only presents what scholars have previously written. It is therefore no substitute for a qualified mufti, a teacher, or a parent in matters requiring personal application.

If you act upon an answer from the platform as though it were a fatwa issued to you, you bear the responsibility for that.

Limits of Use

Do not use the platform to harass other users, to publish or request offensive content, to attempt to circumvent authentication or request limits, to harvest the reference corpus automatically on a large scale, to attribute false rulings to scholars, or to attempt to reverse-engineer the platform. We apply request limits, and we may suspend accounts that do so.

The content reporting feature is intended for reporting what is inappropriate, inaccurate, or harmful; do not use it to disrupt the reviewers.

Your Account

You are responsible for what takes place under your account. Choose a strong password, do not share your login credentials, and inform us immediately if you suspect your account has been compromised. We will never contact you requesting your password.

Changes to the Platform

We are in a stage of active development. Features will be added, restructured, and in rare cases removed. Substantive changes affecting what you can do or how your data is handled will be announced by an in-app notice, and by updating the «Last Updated» date on this page and in the Privacy Notice.

Disclaimer of Liability

The platform is provided «as is». We do not guarantee that search will always return the most suitable source for every question, nor that a generated answer will always be free of errors, nor that the platform will always be available. The «Scholar Approved» badge is the guarantee that a given item has been signed off by a named reviewer; anything else should be treated as work in progress.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we limit our liability for indirect, incidental, and consequential damages.
