By using the platform

Creating an account or using the platform means you accept these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the platform.

Who can use the platform

Anyone over the age of 13 can create an account on their own. Children under 13 may use Young Mufti only on a parent or guardian's account. Once separate child accounts ship, they will require explicit parental consent (COPPA).

What the platform is

A knowledge platform built on the published corpus of Al-Azhar and Dar Al-Iftaa Al-Misriyyah. Every piece of kid-facing content is intended to pass through the scholar review pipeline before it appears with a 'Reviewed by …' badge; content shown without that badge is marked 'Pending review' and you should treat it as such.

The answers in the research and fatwa surfaces are synthesized by LLMs over the indexed corpus. We always cite the underlying sources so you can verify.

What the platform is not

This platform does not issue fatwas. The retrieval + synthesis features surface what scholars have already written; they do not replace a qualified mufti, a teacher, or a parent for matters that require personal application.

If you act on the basis of an answer from this platform, you do so on your own responsibility.

Acceptable use

Don't use the platform to harass other users, post or solicit abusive content, attempt to bypass auth or rate limits, scrape the corpus at scale, attribute false rulings to scholars, or attempt to reverse-engineer the platform. We rate-limit and may suspend accounts that do.

The abuse-report feature is for flagging content that's inappropriate, inaccurate, or harmful. Don't use it to spam reviewers.

Your account

You're responsible for what happens under your account. Pick a strong password, don't share your credentials, and tell us right away if you suspect your account is compromised. We will never email you and ask for your password.

Changes to the platform

We're under active development. Features will be added, refactored, and (rarely) removed. Material changes that affect what you can do or how your data is handled will be announced via in-app notification and an updated 'Last updated' date on this page and on the privacy notice.

Disclaimers

The platform is provided as-is. We make no guarantees that retrieval will always surface the most relevant source for every question, that the synthesized answer will always be free of errors, or that the platform will always be available. The scholar-review badge is the guarantee that an item has been signed off by a named reviewer; everything else, treat as work in progress.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we limit liability for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
