Meet your guide

Zain

Your Young Mufti companion

The first Islamic learning app for children that parents can fully trust

We built Young Mufti so a parent can hand the screen to their child and walk away. No ads. No comments sections. No open internet. No machine-issued rulings. Just gentle, sourced, age-appropriate Islamic learning.

Scholar-approved

Every story, quiz, and answer is grounded in the Al-Azhar and Dar Al-Iftaa corpus and reviewed by our scholarly board before a child ever sees it.

A closed library

Zain only knows what the scholars have written. He never invents rulings, never improvises, and openly admits when something is outside his library.

Quiet and safe

No social features. No comments. No DMs. No ads. No data sold. Children explore in their own peaceful corner of the internet.

Parents in the loop

A parent dashboard shows what your child explored this week, what they learned, and what to talk about together over dinner.

What children do every day

Four ways to learn, designed for kids, not for grown-ups in miniature

Each session is short, warm, and rewarding. A child can do five minutes, or fifty. They walk away knowing one true, sourced thing they didn't know yesterday.

01

Stories from the Sunnah

Beautifully illustrated stories from the life of the Prophet ﷺ and the Companions, retold gently for children and grounded in authentic narrations.

5 to 10 min · ages 6+
02

Sourced quizzes

Short, kind quizzes that build knowledge of prayer, fasting, manners, and the Arabic of the Quran. Every answer cites where it comes from.

3 to 5 min · ages 8+
03

Mini games

Simple word and matching games (Names of Allah, Surah names, prophets in order, prayer postures) that make recall feel like play.

Quick · ages 6+
04

Daily challenges

A small daily badge for showing up: a verse to memorize, a manner to practice, a kindness to do today. Streaks rewarded gently, never aggressively.

Once a day · all ages
Zain, the Young Mufti companion

Meet Zain

A guide who is patient, gentle, and never makes things up

Zain is a friendly companion designed for children. He answers in simple language, names his sources, and openly says "I don't know, let's ask a teacher" when a question is outside his library.

Zain never invents rulings, never makes a fatwa, and never replaces a parent or a real teacher. He is a doorway into the Al-Azhar tradition, not a destination.

Three age zones

Content that grows with the child

Nothing one-size-fits-all. Each zone has its own pace, its own tone, and its own curriculum, built by educators rather than engineers.

Ages 6 to 9

Little Lanterns

Stories, sounds, and simple recognition. Names of Allah, the prophets in order, prayer postures, the alphabet of the Quran.

  • Audio-first, no reading required
  • 10-minute daily story
  • Bright illustrations, calm voice
Ages 10 to 13

Young Seekers

The why behind the how. Pillars of Islam, the Sirah of the Prophet ﷺ, manners, and the foundations of fiqh, explained clearly and sourced openly.

  • Scholar-cited answers
  • Light gamification
  • Quran memorization paths
Ages 14 to 17

Young Muftis

Real Islamic literacy. How to read a fatwa, how scholars disagree, how to think with the tradition. Preparing teens to be sourced, not swayed.

  • Compare scholarly positions
  • Critical-thinking prompts
  • Optional Arabic study tracks
How it works

From a child's first session to a long, calm habit

  1. 1

A parent sets up a profile

Choose your child's age zone and language. Decide how much time per day. Pick what they'll explore first.

  2. 2

    Zain says hello

A short, warm welcome. The child meets their guide and discovers the day's gentle adventure.

  3. 3

    Five minutes of real learning

A story, a quiz, a small kindness to practice. Always sourced. Always age-appropriate. Never overwhelming.

  4. 4

    Parents stay close

Weekly summaries to your inbox: what your child explored, what they learned, conversation starters for the dinner table.

For parents

An app you can leave your child with, and want to

We're parents too. We were tired of choosing between brain-rotting entertainment apps and dry Islamic content nobody wanted to use. So we built the thing we wished existed.

  • No ads. No data sold. No comments. No DMs.
  • Scholar-reviewed content from the Al-Azhar and Dar Al-Iftaa corpus.
  • A weekly parent digest with what your child learned and what to talk about.
  • Time limits, age-appropriate filtering, and full session transparency.
  • Bilingual: Arabic and English, side by side, throughout the app.

When does Young Mufti launch?+

We're targeting a public beta soon, in‏shaa Allah. Sign up for launch updates below and you'll be first to know.

How is this different from other Islamic kids apps?+

Three things. First: every piece of content is grounded in a real Al-Azhar or Dar Al-Iftaa source, nothing is invented. Second: there's no open social layer, no comments, no DMs, no strangers. Third: a parent dashboard you'll actually use.

Does Zain give fatwas?+

No. Zain never issues rulings, never improvises, and never replaces a real teacher or scholar. He's a guide, a doorway into what scholars have already written.

What ages is this for?+

Ages 6 to 17, in three carefully designed zones: 6 to 9 (Little Lanterns), 10 to 13 (Young Seekers), 14 to 17 (Young Muftis). Each zone has its own pace, tone, and curriculum.
